IBC2018, Amsterdam, Netherlands—September 14, 2018—Medialooks today announced free software converters that allow video engineers to publish SDI streams via NDI or convert NDI streams to SDI. The new applications will be shown at IBC2018 in Amsterdam, where Medialooks will co-exhibit at stand 3.B39.
Both tools have been developed with MFormats SDK, a professional frame-based video development kit. KonigLabs, a software development partner, has been instrumental in bringing the new products to life—allowing the Medialooks team to focus on its core product.
'Medialooks has been an early adopter of NewTek's NDI technology and has made it extremely easy for customers to leverage it in products built on top of Medialooks' software development kits,' said Andrey Okunev, CEO at Medialooks. 'We are proud to be part of this exciting movement and believe that the new tools fit perfectly into our software ecosystem — adding even more flexibility to our solution to effectively transport NDI streams over the public internet. We are also happy that both tools have been developed by a local partner, who have proven they are equipped with skills for building end-user apps on time and on budget and have confirmed that our software development kits allow companies to create working software in a matter of days.'
'We are proud to work with Medialooks who have built an incredible system for the distribution of NDI content that allows any source in the world to connect to any other source,' said Dr. Andrew Cross, president and CTO for NewTek, and chief architect of NDI. 'The promise of IP has always been to allow video to be moved anywhere in the world on existing infrastructure and this is an exciting product that helps push that goal one step closer.'
The software currently supports SDI hardware by Blackmagic Design. More I/O hardware will be supported by request.
